Melissa’s background includes numerous qualitative and quantitative studies for Fortune 500 clients, primarily in the technology sector. A Burke-trained moderator, she has conducted thousands of in-person, telephone, and online qualitative interviews with consumer and B2B audiences around the globe.

 

Her skillset includes multi-country international research and high-level multivariate techniques such as conjoint/discrete choice and segmentation.

Brian Van Houten

PARTNER

Brian has been leading client and supplier-side research studies for tech and financial services clients since 1995—including focus groups, one-on-one interviews, and quantitative studies.

 

His work has included projects focused on innovation, new product development and product optimization, customer satisfaction, pricing and positioning, concept testing, market sizing, and segmentation research.

Kathryn Winland

Kathryn is an experienced qualitative and quantitative researcher with a strong client focus and a holistic understanding of research—from design to implications. She has extensive experience conducting domestic and international research for leading technology companies.

 

Her work includes new product development and optimization, value proposition, positioning, messaging, ad testing, packaging, shopper insights, customer journey/journey mapping, usability, market segmentation, and other advanced modeling techniques.

Carolyn Ahlstrom

Since 2001, Carolyn has been conducting market research almost exclusively in the area of high technology. Her expertise spans consumer and B2B research, with an emphasis on technical audiences such as IT professionals and developers.

 

Her work includes new product development and optimization, brand research, and ongoing tracking. She is a Riva-trained moderator experienced in both qualitative and advanced quantitative methodologies.

Jacob has led hundreds of qualitative and quantitative research studies for leading technology companies. He brings a strong strategic perspective to his projects, and an in-depth understanding of the marketing challenges facing companies competing in the enterprise technology space.

 

He has extensive experience conducting domestic and international research studies on branding, positioning, messaging, satisfaction, pricing, segmentation, and product innovation.
